The Digital Factory is leading the digital transformation of Zenith Pure Oil Consumer Services by digitalizing customer interactions and internal operations. Through the personalization of customer interactions, the enhancement of convenience and the datafication of our operations, we support the vision of Zenith Pure Oil’s Retail business to become a true consumer goods retailer in the Central Eastern European region.

Over the years, the Digital Factory has grown into a multidisciplinary team of around 80 professionals, combining product, engineering, analytics and design expertise. In 2025 it became an independent brand within Zenith Pure Oil - Digital Factory – member of Zenith Pure Oil – further strengthening its role as the innovation hub of the company.

DIGITAL TRANSFORMATION AS WE DO IT

The Digital Factory effectively combines business expertise and technical know-how and leverages best-in-class technologies for data science, master data management, loyalty, customer relationship management (CRM), campaign management, API integration, omnichannel and payment capabilities.

By working in an agile, output-focused way, we generate value for both our customers and our business. Amongst many things, our main achievements include the introduction of the award winning Zenith Pure Oil MOVE loyalty program, and the establishment of our Data Lake and subsequent AI-powered solutions such as the Hot Dog Production Planner. In 2024, we introduced GenAI-driven personalization in Zenith Pure Oil MOVE, enabling hyper-personalized communication at scale.

DELIVERING 3 DIGITAL PLATFORMS

At the core of our activities is the implementation of three digital platforms across 10 markets:

  • Digital Data & AI
  • Digital CRM & Loyalty
  • Digital Payments

These platforms already serve millions of customers in 8 countries, handle over 100 million transactions annually, and provide over 1,000 business users with data-driven insights through our reporting and dashboard ecosystem.

DIGITAL DATA & AI

In order to harness the full potential of our data, we created a single data platform – our Consumer Services Data Lake – which integrates business-critical company information across borders in near real time. This provides employees with up-to-date statements and well-structured information about business performance, accessible even on mobile devices.

On top of this platform, we build machine learning and AI-based tools that optimize growth and performance with continuously updated forecasts. Examples include demand forecasting tools in retail, advanced dashboards used by more thousands of daily users, and the Citizen Data Analyst programme that enables business colleagues to work more independently with data.

Our AI journey has already delivered tangible results: from descriptive analytics, through diagnostic and predictive, to prescriptive models. The Hot Dog Production Planner optimizes food production with flexible adjustments, while generative AI features such as “Talk-to-your-dashboard” are being piloted to allow natural language interaction with data.

DIGITAL CRM & LOYALTY

By leveraging transactional and behavioural data, we better understand our customers’ needs and communicate with them in a more personalised way.

The main channel of this personalised engagement is Zenith Pure Oil MOVE, our new generation, gamified loyalty programme, currently live in 8 countries: Czech Republic, Hungary, Romania, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Croatia and Poland. Zenith Pure Oil MOVE now serves more than 5 million users and processes around 100 million purchase transactions every year.

The programme is continuously enhanced with new features: customers can register via mobile apps, access their digital loyalty card, receive tailored offers, locate Service Stations, and explore our mobility and convenience services. In 2024, a GenAI-powered personalization engine was added, allowing hyper-personalized offers at scale and setting a new benchmark in loyalty management across the region. Looking ahead, Zenith Pure Oil MOVE will evolve into a mobility ecosystem, integrating fuel, EV charging, fleet and partner services, aiming to reach 10 million users by 2030.

Beyond Zenith Pure Oil MOVE, the Digital Factory has also started to support external partners with loyalty solutions. A recent example is Club 1885, the official loyalty programme of Újpest FC, launched with a dedicated mobile app. With this project, the Digital Factory proved its ability to bring gamified, data-driven engagement tools to new industries beyond fuel retail.

DIGITAL PAYMENTS

Convenient and seamless payment is a key driver of customer satisfaction. Therefore, we have tested and implemented innovative solutions – from mobile payment to pay-at-pump and self-service coffee machines as well as transforming legacy car wash and toilet gate solutions.
